THE TRAGIC NIGHTS OF COVID-19

THE TRAGIC NIGHTS OF COVID-19

Well it was like a usual night
but this time too dark and scary
I hold my breath and there was a chill down my spine
while i was wondering about you
your oxygen level dropping like a raindrop
but my eyes were all heavy and blurry
I never knew something like this can happen to us
but well said by them,
destinies our controlled by God itself
you promised me a world full of happiness
but who knew the brutality that the world
itself gave you
I remember how you yourself went to the hospital
just for a normal checkup and
turned to be positive for the disease
and in between our conversations
I told you that look where your optimism took you
here also you are positive
and you said I will be alright
days changed into tough nights for you
and I still believed that one day we both will be again
together living our lives and enjoying by the riverside
remember on that ventilator during our 5 min conversation I told you
about the boat ride and you seemed so happy
after 10 min I couldn’t believe my eyes
when doctors were pressing your chest
with all the force of the universe
but nothing could happen here on this empty bed
after fifteenth days, all I am here hugging this shirt
of yours and talking to walls gone all insane
